Ran over a truck tire, which took out most of a protective underpanel and left the rest dragging on the road. Called ME Auto and asked if they could squeeze me in and remove the dragging panel. They were busy but asked if I could bring it in right away. I got there in about 10 minutes and they got to it right away. 15 minutes later the job was done and they only charged me half ($20) of what they'd quoted me ($40). Typical of good, honest service I get from them.

Took my car to ME Automotive, Buda for an oil change. Everyone was so kind. Relaxed in the waiting room, and car was ready in 45 minutes. I was told that everything was in great condition. No upsell, just a reasonable cost.

Mostly good experiences, one bad. Let me start by saying that I really do like these folks, they are very friendly and have done good work, and quickly. I had one problem with a dishonest mechanic, however, that has completely torched their reputation with me. I brought my SUV in because I was getting a soft thudding at 75 MPH from the front driver side tire. Before my last rotation, it was coming from the rear. I explained that I likely had a wheel unbalanced. I left it with them to check it out, and got a call an hour later saying that it was going to cost $2,732.84 to fix it. They said my tires had been severely damaged from having bad struts front and back that needed replaced, and I needed new tires too. I told them no, obviously. I told them to please just balance my wheels and give the car back. I ended up paying $79.99. On the way home, I took it up to 90MPH, and it drove smooth as glass for the first time in years. Problem obviously solved. They most certainly did not test drive the car. My struts are great, this Expedition has always had phenomenal handling. Luckily I am engineer, I know a few things about cars and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems, but some naive person would have been forced to pull their kid out of college for a semester to pay this bill for a completely unnecessary repair. My apologies to the honest folks at ME, I like your shop but you have a rotten apple in there that is not willing to do a proper diagnosis, or simply trying to boost revenue by dishonest means.
